"Spring Clouds" 6 x 8 study

This little study was one of several completed on this great beach day. The rain clouds have traveled east and left their spring cousins to decorate the still cool ocean skies. The days are  crisp; but brilliant ; with just enough moisture left over from the storms to set up some neat atmosphere. It's perfect weather for my June 19/20 workshop (still openings by the way, see workshop page on my website).  Contact artist re sales at    jfulton908@aol.com

I too love painting the sky. The compositional possibilities are endless. Nobody questions the proportion of a sky painting :-)

Jane, I found my way here through Deborah Paris' blog and I am so glad I did. Those kind of beaches I am not at all familiar with - ours tend to be grey and windswept. I love the energy and colour you imbue your paintings with. Will be back to see more.

Hi Shelia,

Glad you like my paintings. I understand that you are from England....I am a big fan of your Edward Sego, who painted beautiful windswept grey beaches. Where can I see your work?

Hey Ed,

Painting clouds and painting waves are a lot alike in that compositional abandonment..good call
